Did Edison Research Find That Dominion Deleted Trump Votes or Switched Votes to Biden?

One America News Network anchor Lilia Fifield claimed in a recent segment that according to recent analysis of data from Edison Research, “states using Dominion Voting Systems may have switched as many as 435,000 votes from President Trump to Joe Biden” and that “another 2.7 million Trump votes appear to have been deleted by Dominion.” Her claims were further elevated by other right-wing figures, including President Trump himself:

In the segment, Fifield states

“Election systems across the country are found to have deleted millions of votes cast for President Trump. According to an unaudited analysis of data obtained from Edison Research, states using Dominion Voting Systems may have switched as many as 435,000 votes from President Trump to Joe Biden. And the author also finds another 2.7 million Trump votes appear to have been deleted by Dominion, including almost 1 million Trump votes in Pennsylvania alone. Analysts say the theft and destruction of votes are attributed to so-called ‘glitches’ in Dominion’s software, and the extent to which this affected results can be verified by hand recounts of votes in each state.”

Fifield says that the basis for these claims is data analysis from Edison Research, an exit-polling and vote-reporting firm that provides election data to many news outlets, including ABC, CBS, and CNN. When asked if the company had noticed these or any other anomalies in the voting data, Edison Research President Larry Rosin told The Dispatch Fact Check, “Edison Research created no such report and we are not aware of any voter fraud.”

There is no evidence to support claims of widespread voter fraud, and, as noted in past fact checks, a vote-tabulating software issue in a Michigan county using Dominion was found to be the fault of “human error,” while Georgia counties with Dominion experienced minor issues, none of which affected the accuracy of vote counts. This latest entry in the Dominion conspiracy-verse is similarly lacking in evidence.
